About Us
Tanya and Eugene have been performing together since 2007, playing at weddings and corporate events in Singapore. A serendipitous encounter at an army camp gig led them on their musical journey as a duo. Their chemistry manifests itself in their music - characterized by Tanya's bright velvety vocals accompanied by Eugene's refined articulation on guitar. The duo believes that music is the universal language of love and they are dedicated to creating a beautiful experience for every event.
Guitarist - Eugene Lam
Eugene plays a wide variety of genres including classical, pop rock, jazz and R&B. He was formally schooled in classical guitar and transitioned to pop rock in University where he was lead electric guitarist for the KR Rockers band that won the NUS Battle of the Bands in 1988 and represented Singapore in the World College Pop Festival ’89 in Japan. The band participated in various music festivals and band competitions with their original music, and made it to the finals of the Yamaha Music Quest in 1990.
Eugene recorded and played lead guitar in the following Christian albums in 1998-2000, “It is Now” and “In your Presence” with Faith Community Baptist Church, and “Here I Am” with a local recording artiste. In 2013, he played lead guitar for the late Rufino Soliano’s studio latin album, “Endlessly”. Eugene has performed at the Esplanade (Atrium and Recital Theatre), Blu Jazz and various venues in concert settings.
Vocalist - Tanya Tan
Tanya’s love for singing started at a young age. She built a strong foundation singing in school choirs, representing Singapore in international competitions. She moved on to delve into Broadway and Disney, which remain her favourite genres today. Along the way, she developed a love for jazz. Tanya’s vast experience performing in various musical groups as well as on stages big and small has been instrumental in her growth as a versatile musician.Classically trained with an ABRSM Grade 5 vocal, Tanya is versatile across genres and languages. She sings in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
